David is one of the co-owners of DT CUSTOM. Here is Davids experience in his own words. 

“From an early age, I developed a passion for automotive engineering, beginning hands-on work at just 10 years old while helping my uncle, David Morris Miner, build custom cars. Those early years included everything from twin-cam conversions to fabricating wide-body kits, laying the foundation for the skills that would shape my career.

I started stock-car racing at 14 in the Mini class, moving into Mk2 Fiestas by 16. My first real project car was a Corsa that began life as a 1.2 LS. I transformed it completely through my own fabrication and mechanical work — fitting a wide-arch kit, completing a 2.0-litre conversion, building the boot install, and upgrading the interior with bucket seats and harnesses. I spent years refining that car, and it became a benchmark for my early craftsmanship.

At 18, I joined AK Sports Cars, building AC Cobra replicas. Over the next 15–16 years, I honed my skills across everything from small-block Chevrolets to supercharged LS3 builds. I eventually moved into a management role, overseeing projects and operations while continuing to work hands-on with high-performance custom builds.

After leaving AK, I founded my own fabrication company, applying my experience to bespoke automotive fabrication, race-car preparation, and custom engineering projects.

With decades of practical experience, a deep understanding of performance engineering, and a lifelong passion for custom builds, I continue to approach every project with the same dedication and craftsmanship that began in my uncle’s workshop.”

Tyler is one of the co-owners of DT CUSTOM. His journey with vehicles began at just 15 years old, when he left school to pursue his passion for cars. Since then, his love for all things automotive, both in and out of work has only grown stronger.

Tyler’s precision and attention to detail are second to none. His very first car, a Citroen C1, remains in his possession today and showcases his creativity through numerous unique modifications.

Over the years, Tyler has also owned a MK6 Golf GTI, which he transformed with a wide-body kit, custom exhaust system, intercooler, intake, DV+ diverter valve, and turbo muffler delete. Another notable project was his Vauxhall Corsa VXR, which he fully rebuilt from the ground up. Engine, gearbox, and all featuring a Stage 3 hybrid turbo, upgraded injectors and fuel pump, full turbo-back exhaust, intake, intercooler, boost pipes, and a remote start with a Clifford alarm system.

When it comes to anything car related, Tyler has mostly done it all.
